Student Leadership
Highvale Secondary College provides a variety of leadership programs for students to develop their confidence, initiative and self esteem.
The School Captains are responsible for making important decisions that impact on the student body and creating student focused change. They collaborate with other College Student Leaders with events including fundraising and whole school activities.
The School Captains welcome guests into our school and attend leadership forums with students from other schools across Victoria. They speak confidently in front of students, staff and parents at whole school events including assemblies, performance evenings and Prestation Night. The School Vice-Captains provide a supportive role to the School Captains and are called upon to replace the School Captains if they are unavailable for an official duty.
Our Student Representative Council plays an important role in the life of the College and has representatives from all year levels. This group is divided into a number of other working parties each with specific responsibilities and interest. Representatives of the students are also active members of our College Council.
Many other opportunities are available to students including Peer Support and a variety of programs which develop a sense of responsibility and social awareness.
