Senior School
Senior students benefit from a young adult environment in the Senior Study Centre which provides computer and recreation facilities. Our goal is to inspire students to become innovative and analytical thinkers equipped with strong communication abilities and the resilience essential for navigating a constantly evolving world. We strive to develop their skills, self-assurance, leadership qualities, and sense of community involvement. Ultimately, we aspire for our graduates to embody aspiration, ethical conduct, and responsible citizenship.
All students are supported in learning and how to learn through study skills workshops, seminars and residential camps.
Our College has a strong commitment to achieving excellence through the Victorian Certificate of Education pathways which include traditional Academic and the Vocational Major. These, together with other innovative support programs, help students acquire the skills and confidence they need for success.
VCE
Our College has a strong commitment to achieving excellence through the Victorian Certificate of Education.
Many students commence their VCE studies in Year 10, enhancing their tertiary entrance score and allowing them the option of undertaking university enhancement studies in Year 12.
Our year 12 graduates consistently achieve study scores of 40 plus and ATAR scores over 90 giving them access to a range of career pathways and tertiary education options.
VCE Vocational Major
The VCE Vocational Major is a 2-year vocational and applied learning program within the VCE. The program aims to prepare students to transition successfully into apprenticeships, traineeships, further education and training, university (through alternate entry programs) or directly into employment.
The purpose of the VCE Vocational Major is to empower students to make informed decisions about the next stages of their lives, through real life workplace experiences providing them with the best opportunity to achieve their personal goals and aspirations in a rapidly changing world.
Vocational Education and Training
Vocational Education & Training (VET) can be completed either as a part of VCE or as the compulsory study for all students undertaking VCE-VM. It helps students explore possible career pathways in a practical and hands-on setting while gaining a valuable insight into their chosen industry. Some VET subjects require compulsory work placement as part of their course
VET enables students to gain qualifications as well as specific skills to help them in the workplace.
VET certificates allow secondary students to gain practical skills in a specific industry while contributing towards the completion of a senior secondary certificate. Students can complete VET through school-based apprenticeships and traineeships
