The Book Hire Program of Highvale Secondary College is a unique feature of the school that has been developed by the Council to reduce the cost of obtaining text books. Each year, parents or guardians are asked to conntribute $220, which pays for the use of text books for the whole year.
Students are issued these books by their class teacher within the first few lessons. At the end of the year, students are asked to return these books.
Generally speaking, in other schools, parents are asked to purchase their text books through various book suppliers. This usually costs in the vicinity of $500 or higher for VCE students.
Highvale Secondary College is centrally located in Melbourne, VIC’s leafy Eastern suburbs and is well serviced by Melbourne’s Public Transport System. A fleet of buses bring students directly into the College.
